Danielle Marchant, a shareholder at JGSM, recently attended a training on Medical Malpractice cases.  JGSM takes on clients that need help with legal issues concerning the medical matters.   

Recognized as a Leader in Giving Back to the Community

Jordan Miller, an associate attorney at JGSM, reported 40.6 pro bono hours for two Volunteer Attorney Services ("VAS") clients in January 2012 earning him "VAS Lawyer of the Month" designation for February 2012. The first case involved a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in which more than $116,000 in debts and liabilities were discharged. The second case was a family law matter in which the court adopted Mr. Miller's proposed orders in their entirety. 

Steve Smith, a member of JGSM, also gave back to the community in which JGSM serves by volunteering as the Master of Ceremonies at the annual Waterville Chamber of Commerce Banquet held on January 30, 2012. 

Welcoming a New Partner

JGSM is pleased to announce that Aaron Harris has become a member/partner in the firm. He has been with the firm since July 2006. Aaron's practice has an emphasis in elder law, estate planning, and family law.   

Current Estate Planning Issues

On August 4, 2011, Aaron Harris, an associate attorney at Johnson, Gaukroger, Smith & Marchant, P.S., attended a seminar sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association entitled “Estate Planning: Fundamentals, Forms and Ethics.”  Aaron’s practice has an emphasis in estate planning, family law, and real estate transactions. 

Labor and Employment Law

Danielle R. Marchant, a partner at JGSM, has recently attended a seminar sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association regarding Labor and Employment Law.  Danielle's practice includes litigating issues on behalf of an employee or an employer concerning the workplace environment.
